When attempting to post an email from your PC using an email client (such as outlook express), if you get an error something like:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server.
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 Relaying denied.
...other specific information may be given

The following situations can result in a "Relaying Denied" error:

1. You are posting from a client that is not inside the campus; only clients in the .gantep.edu.tr domain can use the university mail servers for relaying mails.
   Solution: Use Webmail: staff / students.

2. You are posting from a client that is inside the campus but your computer does not have an entry in the local nameserver, or is not configured properly
   Solution: see IP and DNS settings.
