The POSIX Command Language and Utilities standard for
introduced the following changes into the language:
-Wfor implementation-specific options (see Command-Line Options).
CONVFMTfor controlling the conversion of numbers to strings (see Conversion of Strings and Numbers).
The following common extensions are not permitted by the POSIX standard:
\xescape sequences are not recognized (see Escape Sequences).
FSis equal to a single space (see Examining Fields).
:(see Conditional Expressions).
funcfor the keyword
functionis not recognized (see Function Definition Syntax).
**=cannot be used in place of
^=(see Arithmetic Operators, and Assignment Expressions).
-Fton the command line does not set the value of
FSto be a single TAB character (see Specifying How Fields Are Separated).
fflushbuilt-in function is not supported (see Input/Output Functions).
